What led you to decide to have cataract surgery and how did your vision problems affect your daily activities?
I started experiencing blurred vision and I just thought my prescription changed. I have been wearing contacts for about 50 years and saw my optometrist regarding my vision changes. I was told I had cataracts and was referred to Dr. Raichand for a cataract evaluation.
How has your vision changed since your cataract surgery?
My vision is exactly as I expected it would be following surgery. I barely need reading glasses. I also paid out of pocket to have a Toric lens, and it was the best decision I have ever made. I work in healthcare and need to read fine print when billing and I don’t have issues with my vision now.
What daily activities became easier following your cataract surgery?
I could just see better immediately following my cataract surgery. I felt like I had a new TV, everything was brighter and clearer! I was kind of emotional after my surgery, it was very awesome!
Is there anything that surprised you about your results?
Dr. Raichand is very thorough and prepared me prior to my surgery. He explained I may need reading glasses sometimes and informed me I would experience light sensitivity. Overall, I had excellent outcomes and was super stoked about my surgery.
Are you satisfied with your lens selection and what advice would you give someone who is considering cataract surgery?
Yes, I am very satisfied! I would advise someone not to wait and just do the surgery. I had a great experience, and I am very happy with my results.
